ATI X1300 3D effects in Linux

To install XGL:

sudo apt-get install xserver-xgl

To check if you have direct rendering:

glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"

And if you change a setting you shouldn't have and need reconfigure XGL:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

I got the next message after installing xserver-xgl.

The new ATI driver version 8.42.3 supports AIGLX but is kind of buggy.
